Hypnotherapy
It was by qualifying as a Hypnotherapist in 1986 that I began the learning-path that has eventually brought me to Life Coaching. Wishing to add to my interest in hypnosis led me to read about Milton H. Erickson, the American Physician who was inspired when it came to the use of hypnotherapy. By doing this I became aware of the work done by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who studied Erickson’s methods as they formed the concepts of Neuro-Linguistic programming.
Becoming committed to the advantages of self-development I became influenced by Brian Tracy and Anthony Robbins and noticed how they had incorporated NLP into their training programmes and communications. Then, through the writings of Robert Dilts, the world of the Life Coach opened up before me. I qualified as a life Coach in 2005, specializing in the subjects of Relationships and Small Businesses.
Coming to my profession by such an advantageous route had benefits I could never have imagined. Being an avid reader I have a collection of subjects that form my work but which also need a commitment to life-long learning and up-dating. Through various self-development programmes and the use of Self-hypnotic techniques, I honed my own inner strength and self-confidence so that when I experienced total loss of my assets about fifteen years ago I already had the resilience to carry me through the bad patch. I recovered my financial position, paid off my debts and stepped forward into my future not only to full recovery but wiser, more experienced and aware.
I also have the benefits of these various techniques to bring to my work as a Life Coach and thus can serve my clients from a wide base of interests and ability.
