Coaching is not therapy
I work in Coaching4Progress as a practice independent of Tryst and the first thing to understand is that Coaching is not therapy. Coaches are not working to mend broken people. What I do is assist men and women who have skills, experience and ability to make progress in what ever field they choose. We do this by means of conversational sessions and the application of carefully constructed questions. The purpose of the coaching procedure is to help you overcome blocks to your progress, find your way round perceived barriers to action and construct with you a set of tools for you to use in your own way for your own advancement.
I normally work with a client on a face to face basis in terms of a three month contract, the cost of which is vcalculated according to the circumstances. That is usually enough time to establish routines for a programme of conversations that will lead me to understand you, assist you to create a formal plan of action, to monitor progress, to be available for motivational chats if needed and to see progress towards the desired end result. In this contracted period you will have one hour of coaching each week plus any additional booster sessions as you see necessary. All this is normally done face to face but can also be done by telephone link or by email(see the Opportunities page).
